Realities resources from the Morgan Centre

Realities at the Morgan Centre is a focus for qualitative and mixed-method approaches to research. We are interested in finding ways of capturing the complexities of real life and relationships. We have many resources on our website which are used by researchers, students and teachers of research methods. Between 2005 and 2011 we were funded by the ESRC as part of their National Centre for Research Methods.

Visit the Realities section of the Morgan Centre website for resources on topics including:

• qualitative interviewing, creative interviewing, visual and ethnographic methods;
• working with qualitative/mixed method data (transcribing, analysing, writing);
• practical advice on using different methods (visual methods, participatory methods, blog analysis, email interviews, phone interviews, diary methods);
• more!

Our toolkits are short documents about the practical side of doing social research and we have listed them here because they are our most popular resources, with nearly 4,000 downloads in the past year (to 31 March 2012).
